Promises

Promises promises

Sugarcoated with deception

Just so to prolong my stay and deepen myself in their play

As old as they think they are

Their work plastered with pertinence

They thought every bit of their labor is salvaged by praise only the material world knew

In her promises promises

She thought my pertinence counted for her childlike memories

She never knew that was ethereal

I transcended

I grew beyond what superficial prized memorial they had ready for her

I did not want that

I did not want to be like her

And in those promises

Karma made her due

Although I did not listen

The universe spoke through people and events

I did not listen

I chose to believe into the expectations I had

Than those that were present

I deserved it...

Now it all unfolds itself

To show me I should have listened

The flow of laws should have been obeyed

I’m not struck

I’m free to be, I rested my tawakul in the embrace of Almighty

(She wanted to shape me into herself because she thought I needed the direction when I was my own lost master) ◆
