A Glorious Tragedy

Disorder by Nathaniel Enriquez.

Disorder by Nathaniel Enriquez.

She was warmth personified,
A house that has been lit with fire, burning, breaking down with suffrage, under a state of continual destruction,

But she was good at holding,
Patient and clinging to the endless hope that someone was on the way to extinguish it all, To
end such a glorious tragedy, and spread coolness in every room that makes her,
Leaving it with wisps of smoke, that slithered out of windows, and a trail of all that she was.

When they reached to rescue,
They realized they couldn’t find her heart,
it was either lost, or the flames turned it into nothingness.

Leaving her in a state of numbness, like an hourglass empty of sand, with no purpose nor a place to stand. ◆
